Leaders in Research
Over time, the research we carry out has been transformed, renewed and enriched with new lines of research, approaches and academic personnel. We are leaders in research in ecology with an evolutionary perspective, and we have enriched and strengthened this research with deep knowledge on the genetic foundations, functional aspects and mechanisms underlying ecological phenomena and patterns. More recently, we have strongly promoted transdisciplinary research with an emphasis on addressing sustainability issues from a socio-ecological systems perspective.
Technical Support Units
Highly specialized technical personnel and infrastructure make up our research support units. In these units, our academic and student community find the equipment and technical support they need to develop experiments and obtain, analyze and disseminate data. Through them we promote collaboration and the advancement of our fundamental work: research, teaching and dissemination.
