The congress will take place in the city of Xalapa located in the state of Veracruz, Mexico (around 5 hours from Mexico City), near the Gulf of Mexico coast.

The locality was originally inhabited by Totonaca natives.

Xalapa was oficially founded in 1519 and now is one the most important cultural centers in Mexico.

This is the first WDA congress organized in a Latin American country.
